Been spring for a while now. So, skinning in the morning...
... and biking in the evening.
On weather days, visiting the big kids' school.
Mammoth for Spring Break.
And the Boiling River.
And a walk to see battling bighorns.
Back home: gnarliest line in the Rattlesnake? Kevin says yes. I turned around on the shoulder, so can't comment except to offer this.
Good morning Jackson!
Six hours later.
Day Two: feeling a bit sluggish, to be honest.
Five hours later, settled pow on the glacier.
Home again. A friend's backyard "before".
Same yard, "during".
Take a break, go to the Scapegoat.
Next week, the Bob.
Back to the yard, and a few more trips to the rock shop.
Cinco de Mom-O. This year we subbed some party favorites for a slightly new menu, including fried plantains.
Take green plantains, peel and slice as thin as possible. Fry.
Dipping sauce: mayo, cilantro, lime, jalapeno. Blend.
Heart Lake.
I called the ranger in Superior to see about the road. He said I could drive to the trailhead, but if I really wanted to ski I'd need a snowmobile since it was 2 miles to the lake. Get to the trailhead and there's a big sign saying in bold letters that snowmobiling is not allowed.
One of those pictures where I try to look all casual, but in reality I spent the last three hours in full body contact bushwhacking.
