Missoula area backcountry ski guide.

Thanks a lot for your list of backcountry ski tours around Missoula, which is much better than the Bozeman guidebook I have bought !
We are a group of french skiers and we come to Montana this winter, last week of february and first week of march.
Could you tell us what are the best tours to do on your opinion ? I wonder at what elevation one can usually find the the snow at this time of the year ?
We are looking for tours that can be long (elevation gain 3000 ft or more) but not too steep ; and we want to discover the area and as many mountain ranges as possible !
